Within the BiodiversityMapping.org site you will find many maps of our world’s biodiversity. That is, maps of how many different kinds of plants and animals are found in different parts of the world. The global biodiversity maps include terrestrial vertebrates and are based on species range maps from the IUCN (mammals and amphibians) and BirdLife International and NatureServe (birds). For the USA, you will find maps summarizing all the terrestrial vertebrates, freshwater fish, and trees, as well as a map of conservation priorities for the country. For Brazil, where I am based at, maps currently include birds, mammals, and amphibians. There is also a section devoted exclusively to the ocean, covering a wide range of marine species.
